Research Assistant I/II

Research Assistant I/II in Learning and Assessment for Digital Citizenship in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 499032) (to commence as soon as possible until October 31, 2021)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Education, Social Sciences or a related discipline. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese), good organizational and communication skills, and experience working with and collecting data from schools. They should also be self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently. Experience in and familiarity with large-scale data collection, quantitative and/or qualitative analysis, webpage maintenance and updating, and learning resources development are distinct advantages.  

The appointee will work on the project “Learning and Assessment for Digital Citizenship” ( https://ecitizen.hk/) funded by HKRGC under the Theme-Based Research Scheme.  The project, led by Professor Nancy Law of the Faculty of Education, aims to address research questions about the impact of digital media on human development and everyday life of children and youth. He/She will be responsible for day-to-day administration and coordination with schools for data collection and other activities of the project, as well as providing support for related research tasks, including data cleaning, preparation and analysis, preparation of research and publicity materials, and other research duties as assigned. This position is beneficial to those who wish to pursue a research career and have interest in pursuing further studies in the related areas.
