The Department has strong commitments to first-class research in the areas of scientific computing and statistics, and nurturing high-quality students.

The appointee is expected to conduct research in areas of scientific computing/statistics, and teach one or two undergraduate and postgraduate courses per year. Applicants should possess a PhD degree in Applied or Computational Mathematics/Statistics, with a promising research record.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of three years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding.
