In support of the Government’s Job Creation Scheme under the Anti-epidemic Fund 2.0, The Hong Kong Sports Institute Limited (“HKSI”) has recently created 38 time-limited positions covering a wide range of job functions and levels. This is in response to the difficult labour market situation in the wake of the pandemic, with an aim of providing employment opportunities for those with different skill sets, qualifications and years of experience. 

 

RESEARCH & SPORTS INFORMATION OFFICER

THE JOB

Reporting to the Assistant Manager of the Sports Information and External Affairs Centre, the Research & Sports Information Officer will be responsible for the following duties:

  • To assist in and maintaining an information base that collects sports results and records relating to elite sport training;
  • To assist in the publication and dissemination of sports results and research findings;
  • To assist in conducting research studies carried out in the Centre;
  • To assist in managing the library of the Sports Information Center;
  • To assist in organizing conferences and symposiums; and
  • To perform any other appropriate duties as assigned by supervisor.

THE REQUIREMENTS  

  • A university degree in social science, sports studies, information management or a relevant discipline is an advantage;

  • A minimum of 2 years’ relevant working experience;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Powerpoint is an advantage;
  • Good command of both verbal and written English and Chinese; ability to speak Putonghua is an advantage;
  • Attention to detail, ability to work independently and as a part of the team; and
  • Awareness/ Knowledge of Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of Hong Kong is an added
