Global Asset Management, the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC’s worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. Global Asset Management fulfills its purpose of connecting HSBC’s clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as RFP Manager.
In this role, you will 
  • Rrequest for Proposal, RFI and other client document production and consultant database maintenance.
  • Content development and maintenance.
  • Working with a broad range of stakeholders in different Asset Management Global functions and offices including Institutional and Wholesale Sales, Consultant Relations, Client Service, Product, Compliance, Operations, Risk Management, Performance,  Investments, Request for proposal teams in other locations, Client Propositions.
  • Cross border collaboration with Request for proposal and other Asset management Global colleagues.
  • Protect HSBCs reputation and minimize risk.
  • Delivering high quality client documents in short timeframes with limited resources.
  • Based in Hong Kong but has regional and global support responsibilities in the context of the global Request for proposal function.  As a regional hub, the Hong Kong based Request for proposal team is involved in the production of Request for proposals for Asset Management Japan and Asset Management Taiwan teams for offshore products.
  • Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
  • Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements 
  • University degree or equivalent qualification required
  • Solid experience in Asset Management or investment and finance focused role
  • Detailed knowledge of Request for Proposal, RFIs and related client documents, including regulations, Asset Management Global compliance requirements and delivery processes.
  • Market, customer, technical understanding.
  • Sound understanding of investment products and markets and client requirements, preferably in Asia Pacific.
  • Good knowledge of performance systems, reporting systems, third party performance databases and institutional reporting standards GIPS.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Strong communication skills, including investment writing and oral discussion and presentation.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a deadline oriented environment.
