Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. Security Control Centre Officer

The Department

The Security & Integrity Department is at the center of our core values in ensuring Integrity is preserved. Our work in Security, Integrity, Anti-Money Laundering, and Anti-Illegal Betting contributes to the Club’s management of financial crime and corruption risks. We strive to maintain a secure environment to ensure the smooth operation of the Club’s business, and uphold honesty and fairness to help to protect horse racing in Hong Kong.

The Job
  • Provide professional and efficient security service support in Control Center, including incoming calls /emails handling from both internal and external customers for all security issue related to any HKJC premises & assets;
  • Perform day-to-day operations at the 24/7 Security Control Centre & Racecourse Security Control Rooms (During Race Day Operations) for the purpose of protecting the Club’s assets;
  • Monitoring & responding of CCTV, access control, security alarms and other computerised security systems/databases;
  • Dispatch applicable resources to attend incidents;
  • Communicate / escalate with the security operational personnel and/or applicable HKJC personnel.
About You
  • Tertiary education or above, preferably with at least 2 years of working experience in the Security/ Customer Service industries.
  • Good telephone manner and communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of physical security and modern security technology. Previous experience with Security Systems Platforms will be advantageous
  • A good standard in both written and spoken English and Cantonese. Reading and writing Chinese is a must and Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus
  • Must be competent and literate with computers & software applications, notably Microsoft Windows Environment and MS Office Applications;
  • Be willing to work shift duties including on Sundays and public holidays, and work outdoors sometimes if and when required.
Terms of Employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A contract employment will be offered to the successful candidate. Contract renewal will be subject to mutual agreement between the Club and the individual.
