THE GIG (Summary of the Role)

The job holder will handle full set of accounts for China including month end closing, prepare management and monthly reports for management review, prepare accounting schedules and analyse.  Assist in the annual audit, ensure internal controls are in place and involve in ad-hoc projects as required.

THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART (Responsibilities) 

  • Handle full set of accounts for China
  • Ensure all accounting transactions such as Receipt Vouchers, Payment Vouchers and Journal Vouchers are recorded to General Ledger
  • Ensure all practices and procedures are in compliance with company standards
  • Compile monthly management and financial reports including analysis and recommendations
  • Prepare annual budget, forecast and insightful analysis on ad-hoc basis and periodically
  • Exercise appropriate margin control with support of timely analysis
  • Liaise with external auditors on annual audit with proper & organised manner
  • Assist in ERP system implementation and maintenance
  • Handle ad-hoc assignments
  • Regular travel to Southern China office

 

YOUR FUNDAMENTAL QUALITIES (Requirements)

  • Degree holder in Accounting and Finance, minimum 5 years relevant working experience in retail
  • Preferably a part qualified / qualified accountant
  • Experience in handling China accounting is a MUST
  • Hands-on, responsible, independent, self-motivated, strong analytical skills and good interpersonal & communications skills
  • High standard of integrity and compliance
  • Advanced user of Excel and experienced in ERP system
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Mandarin and Chinese
