POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Analyst, Accounting Compliance is responsible for:

  • Preparing accounting compliance (includes performing accounting researches, preparing technical memos and financial statement disclosure checklists, maintaining XBRL filings compliance etc.)
  • Assisting the development and maintenance of the group’s accounting policy and procedure database
  • Liaising with external auditors on statutory audits and other audit related matters

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assisting with compliance reviews related to accounting standards (USGAAP, IFRS/ HKFRS, Macau GAAP), XBRL compliance and rules and regulations issued by SEC, Nasdaq, Philippines Stock Exchange (“PSE”) and Hong Kong Stock Exchange (“HKSE”)
  • Assisting with the preparation of research and accounting memos for new transactions and implementation of new or amended accounting standards
  • Assisting with the review of financial disclosures within the quarterly, half year and annual financial reports to be filed with the SEC, PSE and HKSE, including but not limited to the preparation of (i) financial statement disclosure checklists, (ii) market and industry analysis and benchmarking of financial reports, to ensure the accurate and appropriate presentation and disclosure of financial reports
  • Maintaining the XBRL reporting requirements and compliance
  • Assisting with coordination of external advisors and auditor on statutory audits and other audit related matters
  • Assisting the development of technical trainings to the accounting personnel within the company
  • Assisting with Audit Committee secretarial matters, including meeting package preparation and delivery
  • Assisting in any ad-hoc assignment
 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience, mandatory with previous Big Four experience
  • Previous experience preparing accounting compliance required
  • Knowledge of listing regulations, IFRS and USGAAP are preferred

 

Education

  • Bachelors in Accounting / Finance / Business preferred with an internationally recognized accounting qualification; CPA required

 

Skills / Competencies

  • Strong accounting research and technical writing skills required
  • Ability to work independently and with initiative are critical
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • A creative, analytical and practical approach to resolving issues, and able to work under pressure and multi-task
