We are looking for a high caliber individual to join the Group Internal Control Team in Group Financial Planning & Control Department. Reporting to the Assistant Manager, the appointee will be responsible for performing tasks related to CLP Internal Control Framework with details in the following:

Responsibilities

  • Communicate and coordinate with General Representation Letter (GRL) files and respective Assistants on internal GRL process to support CEO & CFO’s personal attestations to the external auditors & Board of Directors.  
  • Review and evaluate appropriateness and effectiveness of internal control review / testing performed by Business Units and Group Functions. Conduct walkthrough and key control testing to ensure controls are operating as designed.
  • Work closely with Group Internal Audit and auditees (business process owners) on audit issues in terms of reasonableness of the remedial actions and timeliness of their implementation progress.
  • Support new Group Internal Control system development, including review functional specification from vendor and liaise with vendor to ensure services being provided are up to the agreed standard and timeline, perform and document user acceptance testing and review test results, conduct project post implementation review and prepare project documentation.
  • Prepare regular management reporting and presentation materials.
  • Carry out ad hoc assignments as and when required.

Requirements

  • A recognized university degree or professional qualification in finance, accounting, computing or relevant disciplines.
  • Minimum 7 years’ relevant working experience in sizeable organization, with exposure in internal controls and internal / external audit. Candidates with less experience will be considered as Associate.
  • Strong personal integrity standards; committed to building respect of the person as well as the function.
  • Fast learner, a good team player with strong analytical and good interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible and work well in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment.
  • Good command in English writing and excellent communication skills to liaise with different internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
