Our client is a global financial services organisation. They rolling out a large number of business programs within their substantial Hong Kong entity over the next few years. They require a dedicated Change Manager to act as a functional head. Duties will range from acting as a high-level advocate of Change as a distinct discipline to providing ad-hoc hands-on involvement within specific work-streams, as required.

About the Role

To apply Change management expertise to contribute to successful outcome / benefit realization across a range of business initiatives, some of which involve new IT systems or enhancements to legacy systems. This includes:

  • Acting as coach / mentor to project teams / managers on Change Management aspects of projects - and, where needed, directly drive change activities / work-streams
  • Manage a small team of change specialists who will be assigned to various projects to directly drive change management activities (1-2 resources)

About the Person

To be suitable for this position, you will have:

  • Experience of Change Management as a discipline, distinct from Project Management
  • Prepared detailed Change plans for complex multi-functional projects
  • Familiarity with the principles of ADKAR, PROSCI or other Change methodology, even if you aren’t certified or formally trained
  • Plenty of examples of developing RACI analysis, communication plans, action plans, resistance management, sponsor road-maps, organisational analysis, training needs analysis and other core components to Change
  • University degree, preferably in Business, Finance, IT or related disciplines
  • 10+ years solid experience in a Project / Change management capacity
  • Strong influence, change management, and dispute resolution skills.
  • Solid experience in managing stakeholders at senior executive level at multiple levels of organization (Group, Regional & Local)
  • Outstanding communication skills; verbal and written with proven experience in designing and delivering communications at multiple levels from working to C-level –
  • Able to motivate and effectively manage a small team of change specialist resources
  • Cantonese language skills strongly preferred
