Job Duties:

  • Lead a team to develop and execute professional consultancy services for traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), and to develop and implement TCM-related projects
  • Implement the Chinese Medicine Resources Platform under the Chinese Medicine Development Fund
  • Develop and implement services promotion strategy and plan to secure projects from industry and government funding
  • Identify business opportunities, prepare project proposals and conduct technical presentation to clients
  • Execute projects and oversee project management in accordance with corporate policies
  • Build up and extend network with industry stakeholders for collaboration
  • Manage team performance, develop technical knowhow and competencies of the team

Job Requirements:

  • PhD/ Doctorate/ Master/ Bachelor Degree with at least 8 years’ relevant experience in the areas of Chinese medicine consultancy and industry support projects
  • Good knowledge and experience in the operation and technologies of the local traditional Chinese medicine industry is a must
  • Hands-on experience in consultancy and industry support programmes for traditional Chinese medicine industry
  • Experience in development, application and implementation of government-funded industry support projects is a definite advantage
  • Good interpersonal, presentation, communication, negotiation, leadership and strategic planning skills
  • Good relationship with the TCM industry and associations
  • Self-initiative, able to lead team and work under pressure
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua
  • Applicants may be considered for other positions if not matching the requirements of the subject position

A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered. The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
