Senior Engineer

  

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Undertake first level maintenance on generators with the support of the local Facilities Management Engineers and Technicians
  • Provide direction and leadership of the site Building Services maintenance teams, including effective hiring, motivation, development, training and discipline of the site maintenance organization
  • Monitor workload / resources and make timely recommendations for change
  • Develop and deliver effective maintenance plans that achieve the following key objectives
  • Balanced in terms of managing risk, expenditure and asset protection
  • Provide a safe and comfortable working environment for all occupants
  • Plan, assign and supervise planned and reactive activities utilizing 360 CMMS system
  • Provides advice and consultation to operate the clients facilities with regard to facilities engineering matters
  • To check on site repair and maintenance carried out by subcontractors to ensure work completion, quality and method of working for compliance with specification and ordinance requirements
  • Monitor, measure and report upon the performance of all specialist contractors in terms of their ability to carry out the work against the agreed contractual budget
  • Co-ordinate meetings periodically with contractors to ensure that required standards are established and maintained, and develop corrective action plans when, or if performance falls below expectations
  • Program the attendance of specialist subcontractors at site ensuring strict adherence to client/JLL processes and procedure including Permit to Work, Request for Change processes, Method Statement and Risk Assessment.
  • Ensure that maintenance documentation meets the required standards and sufficient information is provided to operate an effective asset management regime
  • Achieve Key Performance Indictors and Service Level Agreement targets
  • Prepare reports on operational needs
  • Ensure compliance with JLL audit programs. CEM/Ops AIDE
  • Participate in Emergency Evacuation procedures including crisis management and business continuity
  • Manage all Health and Safety issues and actively participate in Health and Safety reviews
  • Liaise with Project Management teams to mitigate risk to personnel and business continuity
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure high standards are maintained

 

Requirements: 

  • Degree in relevant Engineering discipline with minimum 5 years’ experience in building maintenance or
  • High Diploma/Higher Certificate in Engineering with at least 7 years’ relevant experience in building maintenance required.
  • Experience in the management and maintenance of Caterpillar, Cummins, MTU, Kohler etc.
  • Critical Systems Management experience
  • Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety
  • Good communication skills with fluency in both written and spoken English and Cantonese
  • Strong PC literacy and proven ability to manage daily activities using various systems
  • Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement initiatives highly desirable
  • Proven team leadership skills
