 A PC Support Specialist role leads and drives IT deskside support team as senior support specialist in Deskside/PC area. Supports office's end users on deskside/PC related IT issues and applications. The role would assist the head of Infrastructure & Operations to execute the standard operation process for supporting our deskside environment.
 

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, active and accurate handling of daily and regular IT operational tasks, standard IT processes and end user support.
  • Maintaining local server room and IT infrastructures (LAN, WAN, patching etc.), including necessary documentation updates.
  • Perform software and hardware installation in laptops and workstations. This includes setting up, maintaining, performing and monitoring backup.
  • Utilize management tools such as SCCM & Casper Suite to manage the deskside environment covering Wintel and MAC OS based machines.
  • Actively driving forward and supporting of local and head-office managed projects and activities for implementation and update of processes, applications and infrastructures.
  • Prepare/update reports and documentation when necessary. 

Requirement

  • At least five years’ experience of IT operation on deskside support as a supervisory role.
  • Profound understanding and active execution of operational ITIL processes (e.g. incident management, configuration management, change management).
  • ITIL V3 Foundation certificate an advantage.
  • University graduates in Computer Science or related disciplines.
  • Analytic thinking and procedural working approach with strategic mindset. Good implementation strength, focusing on goals to be achieved.
  • Great team player, willing to integrate in a well-established local team of IT experts.
  • Good team leader, actively leading by example as well as acting as role model.
  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to manage cross-cultural challenges.
  • Good command in both spoken and written English & Chinese.
  • Proactive working attitude, active tracking and driving of topics, willingness to learn, to develop and to take over new role.
