Senior Executive Officer (Staffing and Partnership) (Ref. 19110504-E2)

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) assist the Dean of Faculty in HR matters and personnel/manpower planning issues of the Faculty;

(b) act as a resource person and coordinator of the Faculty and its constituent Departments in relation to HR policies and staffing exercises;

(c) lead one of the three teams of the Faculty Office in providing administrative support for partnership and marketing related matters;

(d) assume secretaryship of the staffing and partnership related committees at Faculty level;

(e) liaise with internal and external stakeholders;

(f) supervise supporting staff; and

(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of Faculty and the Faculty Secretary or their delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a) a recognised bachelor’s degree or above;

(b) at least eight years of solid administrative and supervisory experience, some of which gained in tertiary institutions or sizable organizations;

(c) good knowledge of administration, and preferably HR management, in the higher education sector or publicly-funded organizations in Hong Kong;

(d) a high level of competency in committee work and report compilation;

(e) an excellent command of English and Chinese, and preferably fluency in Putonghua; and

(f) good analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written language proficiency test.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
