AsiaWorld-Expo is a world-class exhibition, convention and events venue offering over 70,000 square metres of rental space. With 10 state-of-the-art, ground-level and column-free halls including the AsiaWorld-Arena - the biggest purpose-built indoor seated entertainment arena in Hong Kong with a maximum capacity of 14,000; the AsiaWorld-Summit - Hong Kong's largest indoor conference and banquet venue that seats 700 to 5,000 persons; and the Runway 11 - the venue's latest conference and function hall for 500 to 3,800 guests, AsiaWorld-Expo is Asia's only column-free, ground-level exhibition, convention and events venue which is fully integrated with the World's Best Airport, Hong Kong International Airport (World Airport Survey by Skytrax).

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the event supporting team to provide good quality services for clients holding events in venues at AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE)
  • Prepare budgetary estimates for event supports within his / her responsible areas for corporate financial planning
  • Monitor and control the budgeted expenditures of the systems / functions for event supports as assigned and ensure that all these systems are operated cost-effectively
  • Develop, review, implement and enforce policies, procedures, rules, regulations, manuals and guidelines for carrying out effective and systematic operation of facilities
  • Plan, design, schedule, and supervise the activities on the facilities as assigned to ensure that all these hardware are in their best operating condition at a high degree of quality, reliability and cost-effectiveness and meet all relevant legislation and regulations and clients need
  • Supervise the performance of Service Partners to ensure the day-to-day activities are being carried out in accordance with the established guidelines, procedures, manuals, and strategies and to ensure that the activities of the systems / facilities as assigned are organized and carried out timely and competently by prioritizing task and avoiding backlog
  • Attend to emergency calls relating to functions / event support of the Department as required to safeguard the interest of the Company and to ensure its continuous business operation
  • Study, plan and carry out enhancement works for improving cost-economies and optimizing performance of event support facilities
  • Provide competent supports and advice on a timely basis to meet users’ and customers’ requests in relation to the event support
  • Prepare cost estimates and quotations for all external requests for events to be held at AWE
  • Provide support on facilities for event set up, dilapidation inspection recording and remedial works, and also vetting of booth layouts and drawings for compliance to rules and regulations

 

Requirements:

  • Degree or above in property / facilities management / real estate / surveying / building studies / event or exhibition related technical course or other relevant disciplines
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in managing building facilities and/or event support
  • General knowledge of the current legislations relating to building and contract law
  • A good team player with mature personality, well-organized, independent and responsible character
  • Able to work under pressure with ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese
