The appointee will head the Accounting Operations Section and be required to (a) manage the accounting operations of the University and the College of Professional and Continuing Education; (b) formulate, review and implement relevant policies and procedures; (c) perform staff cost analysis, evaluate and make recommendation on financial implications of changes in staff remuneration packages and new initiatives; (d) act as project manager or contribute as key user in the deployment and enhancement of computer systems including the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll System and the Concur Claim System which are under development; and (e) plan and initiate improvements and new developments on financial operations.

Applicants should (a) have a recognised degree plus a professional accounting qualification; (b) have at least eight years of managerial experience in payroll operations, staff cost analysis, staff claims, accounting, finance and/or other related areas, preferably with relevant and system implementation experience gained from sizeable organisations; (c) be self-motivated with high ethical standards; (d) possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to perform duties of marked complexity requiring considerable independent analysis and evaluation; (e) have good interpersonal and people management skills to work effectively with internal stakeholders at all levels and relevant external service providers; (f) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and (g) have strong presentation and communication skills. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
