The Urban Renewal Authority (“URA”) is tasked to undertake urban renewal in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a holistic approach to urban renewal with redevelopment and rehabilitation as its core businesses.

Senior Manager, Building Rehabilitation (Ref.: SM(BR))

Responsibilities:

  • To oversee the overall operation and administration of the Building Maintenance Grant Scheme for Elderly Owners (BMGSEO) Team to ensure the effective and efficient operations relating to the application aspects of BMGSEO or any other schemes administered by URA
  • To devise specific outreach strategies to engage owners and related owners associations to repair and maintain their buildings in various identified localities/action areas
  • To liaise and coordinate with other relevant stakeholders including government departments, related consultative and management committees, as well as professional bodies and external parties
  • To manage teams of operating staff, outsourced consultants and NGOs etc. for the implementation of the programs/projects; compile overall progress reports and carry out necessary audit checks for identification of deviations and non-compliances

 

Requirements:

  • Degree holder or equivalent in relevant housing management, building maintenance related discipline
  • Recognized professional qualifications (e.g. MHKIH/ MHKIS/ MHKIA/ MHKIE or equivalent)
  • Minimum 15 years’ relevant working experience with at least 12 years post professional qualification experience in the related field
