Job Summary

Lead the function team including all cashier offices and autopay services to provide an efficient and diverse premium payment service to AIA customers, ensuring compliance with OCI’s guidelines and enhancing the payment channels to be most competitive in the industry.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

Premium Collection Operations

  • Oversee the daily operation of all cashier offices and autopay services.
  • Manage and control the cost center budget to meet the organizational goals. 
  • Review Balance Sheet Reconciliation Reports and submit to Finance within deadlines.
  • Monitor the outstanding balance and clearance of the suspense accounts.
  • Analyze service charges related to premium collection and recommend strategic cost-effective solutions to Senior Management.
  • Introduce new procedures, policies, and systems, as needed, to maximize operating efficiency and achieve organizational goals. 
  • Timely review the effectiveness of the risk control process.
  • Ensure staff’s adherence to rules, regulations and procedures.
  • Liaise with management, Legal and Compliance, and service providers/ banks on development of new payment channel for operational efficiency

 

Anti-Money Laundering and Fraud Control Management

  • Develop, establish and maintain premium payment guidelines to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and enhance the cashier system to maintain a tight control of the suspicious payment to minimize operational risks.
  • Review high-risk payments and liaise with L&C to report to Senior Management for decision making.

 

People Management

  • Lead and manage teams in order to enhance employee competencies, engagement and performance levels towards delivering KPI’s of S&O department.
  • Plan and mobilize people resources to ensure efficient functioning of premium collection function.
  • Develop staff by identifying and creating opportunities to enhance their competencies and performance.
  • Coach and groom high performers / potential talents in order to build a pool of future leaders.

 

External Stakeholder management

  • Manage the relationship with external auditors and regulatory auditors; assess and resolve audit issues to ensure compliance with standards.

 

Other responsibilities

  • Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet operational and / or other requirements.

 

Job Requirements

  • University / College graduate with minimum 10 years’ experience in managing similar job natures  
  • Expertise in premium collection and customer service; experience in insurance firm is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills in managing a large and diverse team. Result-oriented, aggressive, and innovative 
  • Proactive in problem solving in a fast moving industry
  • Experience in project management is an advantage
  • Demonstrated sophisticated analytic capacity and business thinking
  • Excellent in both written and spoken English and Chinese
