Office of the Vice President (Academic)

The appointee will support the Vice President (Academic) and his delegate(s) in the preparation of journal articles and other publications in area(s) of Life Education and / or Character or Moral Psychology, proposals related to Life, Moral and Character education as well as curriculum and instruction research in the Greater China Region. He/She will be responsible for the preparation of ethical review documents and implementation of ethical protocols. The appointee will also be required to assist in the development and implementation of research methodologies for research projects, to manage the operation logistics for research projects, and to perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President (Academic) and his delegate(s). The successful applicant will be appointed for an initial period of 12 months, with the possibility of renewal subject to mutual agreement.

Applicants should have a master degree in areas of Education or Psychology plus one-year post master’s degree full-time working experience or a doctorate, preferably with a track record of successful development of proposals for research projects and/ or international journal publications. He/She should have an excellent command of written Chinese and English, be adept at a multi-tasking work environment, able to work under tight deadlines, and demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as a team. Applicants with less qualifications/ experience may be considered for the post of Research Assistant.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract. Fringe benefits include contract-end gratuity, leave, medical and dental benefits.
