Senior Scientific Officer / Scientific Officer (Ref. 21102610-E2)

The appointee will assist the project leader in the project - “Jockey club smart ageing hub”. He/She will be required to:

(a) coordinate the overall technical development of the project and liaise with stakeholders including project funder, governmental departments and non-governmental organisations;

(b) provide scientific advice/research/assessments for project strategic partners, plan and execute work plans for installation and implementation of gerontechnology-related devices at assigned locations;

(c) assist in liaising with partners both locally and internationally; and

(d) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or his delegates.


Applicants should have:

(a) a master’s degree or above in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline;

(b) at least five years of research/project management working experience; and

(c) a good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua.

Preference will be given to those with solid working experience in the areas related to gerontechnology. Candidates with higher qualification or more experience will be considered for the post of Senior Scientific Officer.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
