Volvo Bus Asia Pacific is one of the leading clusters within Volvo Bus Corporation (VBC) and has a proud history of profitability and growth. It is responsible for Bus vehicle and Service sales business, partnership with Volvo’s own and private importers, key customers and body build partners, and progress of the Volvo Buses total business within the region. 

We are looking for a well-qualified individual to join us in as Service Manager, Hong Kong:

Purpose of Role

  • Overall responsibility of the Hong Kong Service Market giving technical and service support for the Customer and Dealer Base
  • Ensure customer satisfaction of key bus operators  through the delivery of prompt, customer-focused and high quality solutions to customer’s technical issue to ensure uptime of their bus operations as well as supporting the service business in Hong Kong
  • Work with and support the Dealer Network in all the required aspects of the Business

Key Responsibilities
  • Take overall responsibility for technical and service support for Hong Kong bus market; manage and provide support/solutions to key customers and dealers
  • Develop and enrich relations with key customer, dealers and suppliers in the Hong Kong bus market
  • Manage Service team to support key customers and dealers’ service/technical queries and operational issues
  • Coordinate with Vehicle Delivery team for balancing between technical support and vehicle PDI/acceptance
  • Schedule regular service meetings with Franchise Bus customers and follow-up on technical and service related issues raised
  • Provide technical training & support function to team and dealer network
  • Warranty and service data analysis / Review warranty / goodwill budget
  • Perform analysis for connected-vehicle data and provide recommendations to improve customer operations
  • Regular reporting to Volvo Bus Corporation head office (i.e. Market Quality Report, Campaign requests)
  • Participation in APAC and Volvo Bus Service Market meetings and activities
  • Management and ensure completion of all Released Campaigns
  • Monthly submission of top 5 quality and service meeting items to APAC Bus
  • Ensure APAC Bus KPIs are monitored and maintained
  • Volvo Bus Dealer set up and support
  • Other duties as directed/assigned

Critical Competencies and Experience required
  • 10 years of related technical/service related experience preferably with experience in Bus or commercial vehicle industry
  • Customer-focused, excellent client communications skills to work and build relationships with key customers, new dealers, business partners and internal team
  • Strong problem solving/resolution skills supported by in-depth related technical knowledge; ability/willingness to develop technical knowledge
  • Good understanding of the commercial vehicle industry and the commercial service market - Volvo products, competition and their products, customer requirements, market trends etc.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and lead a team; strong mentoring and coaching skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Candidates affluent in Cantonese will have an added advantage
  • Exposure to different cultures in the Asia Pacific region and ability to work in cross-functional, multi-cultural teams and adapt to different environments and audience

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Technical Engineering or related qualifications
  • Experience in working with technology and productivity tools including MS Office, Excel & PowerPoint
