THE COMPANY : 
  • European buying office for own 2000+ retail stores in Europe
  • Main items : seasonal, household, toys, home decoration, electronics, beauty & cleaning, stationery, food and sundries
  • We are looking for SOCIAL COMPLIANCE OFFICER - with details as follows :
 
THE JOB :
  • Assure ongoing compliance with Corporate Code of Conduct, amfori BSCI code of conduct and industry regulatory requirements
  • Carry out defined risk analysis consistently for all assigned countries and suppliers
  • Implement and uphold of social compliance activities especially amfori BSCI standard in assigned countries
  • Review BSCI and other relevant social audit reports
  • Carry out on-site factory audits and evaluate audit findings
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions according to the audit findings
  • Propose appropriate follow up measures for factories such as training, capacity building workshops, onsite consulting etc. depending on report analysis
  • Ensure all social standard data is accurate and updated in systems
  • Uphold implementation of immediate measures for emergent / accidental cases in factories
  • Support new project implementation
  • Bachelor degree holder or equivalent in related field
  • At least 4-5 years relevant experience in a sizeable organization with social compliance, BSCI or equivalent standards
  • Understanding in labour, environment, health & safety regulations and international labour standard
  • Experience with European market, understanding in Western brands sustainability programs is a plus
  • Experience with manufacturing environment, auditing and remediation
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.) and Internet as well as other databases
  • Frequent China trip; occasional Asian trip
  • 5 days work
  • 13 months salary + performance bonus
