Job summary

Our National Sports Association is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and outgoing individual to join our Rugby Community Department, in the post of Sport Organiser Trainee.

 

Specific responsibilities

  • To recruit suitable coaches for various community programmes, organise coach seminars, meetings, workshops in regular basis.
  • To liaise with the Union Coach Education Department to provide up to date knowledge for coaches to ensure quality of coaching and maintain sufficient active coaches in local community.
  • To administrate coach payment process within specific timeframe; to support personal development for part time coaches.
  • To monitor coach performance and ensure coaches follow the coaching guideline of part time coach, manage the code of conduct procedure of part time coach included code of conduct record, handling misbehaviours or discipline cases/issues of part time coaches.
  • To support the building of part time coach work schedule system; manage the database in the part time coach.
  • To support other ad hoc duties and major events of HKRU.

 

The ideal candidate

  • An accredited Associate Degree from a Hong Kong tertiary institution/a Higher Diploma from a polytechnic university or polytechnic in Hong Kong or Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or equivalent
  • One year of relevant work experience will be an advantage
  • Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English is required
  • Knowledge in rugby
  • A detailed minded person, with effective communication and organizational skills.

 

Working Hours

The conditioned working hours are 45 hours net per week (excluding meal breaks).

Appointed candidates may be required to perform shifts duties work irregular hours and overtime (including on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays). Actual working hours will be arranged by supervisors.

 

Terms of Appointment

Successful candidates will be appointed for about twelve months
