Garment manufacturer with focus in swimwear/lingerie - 3000 workers in China Guangdong factory and 1000 workers in Vietnam factory – main markets are US and European countries for international fashion brands, department stores, specialty stores and mail order companies including A&F, Arena, Triumph, NEXT, Esprit and BHS etc etc – is looking for a MERCHANDISING GENERAL MANAGER – with details as follows :
  • Tertiary education in any subjects
  • Studies in Fashion / Textiles/ Clothing or related disciplines will be a plus
  • 5 to 7 years' experience at managerial level in the apparel industry;
  • Solid experience/knowledge in lingerie/swimwear preferably in manufacturers
  • Mature, independent, pro-active, well-organized, creative and result-oriented;
  • Strong business acumen, analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills;
  • Profound knowledge and experience in product development and production processes, preferably in lingerie / swimwear;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Proficient in computer applications like MS Office / ERP system
  • Report to the Assistant General Manager
  • Responsible for leading and managing the Merchandising team to offer professional customer services when monitoring overall critical path from product development until goods delivery;
  • Understand the market trend and maintain good customer relationship to meet the different needs in a competitive way;
  • Set sales strategies and targets for different customers / sales regions and make efforts to meet and exceed related KPIs;
  • 80% time station and work in Shunde Guangdong; 20% time work in Hong Kong office
  • Occasional overseas travelling is required;
  • 5 days work
  • 13 months salary + performance bonus
  • Annual leave : 14 days
  • Candidates with more solid managerial level experience will be considered for the post of Merchandising Director
