We offer wholesale banking products and services in Hong Kong. To cope with our business growth, we are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join us as Team Head, Clien Onboarding in Hong Kong.

Job Descriptions

  • Responsible for managing client onboarding team within Operations to liaise between business and other relevant departments such as Compliance and Risk in executing new clients onboarding and periodic reviews of existing clients.
  • Serve as “Primary Point of Contact” to communicate and resolve any recertification process issues with business, clients and internal functions.
  • Being aware and demonstrate the knowledge of regulation surrounding KYC/Due Diligence for Hong Kong.
  • Possessing knowledge in various types of trading entities – limited, private and public companies, holding companies, hedge funds, asset managers, trust’s and specialised sections such as MNC, Shipping, Gaming etc.
  • Conduct customer due diligence and collection of specific information and completion of documentation to ensure effective AML/CFT measures are implemented at the right onboarding stage.
  • Contribute to good quality client data and handle onboarding related requests quickly and professionally to reduce any delay and/or loss of business.
  • Ensure proper end-to-end AML due diligence and KYC requriement are statisifed, and all the account opening documentation are compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the implementation and controls for daily processes and be responsible for development and update of procedures to make the alert and due diligence review process more efficient.
  • Abide by operational risk procedures and escalate incidents to management where necessary.
  • Improve on-boarding and review process proactively.
  • Coach and train KYC staff to develop a sound understanding of anti-money laudering principle and ensure a highest level of critical thinking, analysis, documentation and operational efficieny.
  • Ensure compliance with Bank’s policies/procedures and regulatory requirements, in particular with regard to the KYC/AML/CFT responsibilities and duties, as per relevant policies and procedures.

 

Job Requirements

  • University degree in Business Administration or other relevant qualifications
  • ICA Certificate in KYC and CDD would be an advantage but not a must
  • At least 6 to 8 years related experience in Wholesale Banking / Financial Institutions with relevant knowledge of KYC, client onboarding, operations management, MI and client management.
  • Good knowledge of AML and KYC regulations.
  • Strong understanding of due diligence and local Anti-Money Laundering requirements.
  • Strong in resources planning, time management and problem solving.
  • Possesses stong analytical skills with an eye for accuracy and details.
  • Sound practical understanding of risk, compliance and controls.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently, eager to learn and with attention to details.
  • Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to liaise with all levels of the Bank and people with different experience and background.
