The Academy now invites applications for the following position:

Technical Assistant (Lens-based Media and Darkroom) (PR0392/20-21)

The appointee will join the technical team to mainly support the operation of the Lens-based Media Studio and Darkroom. The appointee will take charge of the equipment and tools check-in/out, assist in teaching and after-class practice of the lens-based media area, and perform other general studio duties of the Academy.

Applicants should have completed tertiary level education in visual arts, creative media or other related fields with studio practice experience. Knowledge of digital and analogue photocopy equipment, software and other related computer facilities is advantageous. The appointee should be an organised person, attentive to operation details, and be communicative in both English and Chinese. Saturday duty is required during term time.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a technical test.

Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of one year. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
