Job Description

  • Work as an integral part of the Property Department and supervise and monitor the work of technicians and contractors under safety.
  • Co-ordinate the technical activities of the Property Department to provide high-quality services to all clients, include inviting contractor for tender and/or quotation work, and carrying out tender / quotation analysis and recommendation for senior management consideration and approval.
  • Investigate, analyse and evaluate the causes of building system defects or service suspension, e.g. electrical breakdown, air conditioning system failure and water seepage, etc.
  • Assist the General Manager / Property Manager to set up annual preventative maintenance programs for all building structures, systems and related equipment for the properties, and prepare the relevant maintenance budget.
  • Oversee general duties, such as maintaining work / repair orders and maintenance logs, plumbing and electrical / mechanical repairs, when required to do so.
  • Carry out any other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.


  • Fluent spoken and written Chinese and English.
  • Relevant diploma in Building Service Engineering or equivalent preferred.
  • Suitable professional or trade qualification that is necessary for successful job performance.
  • Previous working experience in property management service company is definitely preferred.
  • Possess general knowledge and hands-on experience in technical matters, together with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturers' maintenance manuals.
  • Hands-on experience in building management procedures and the supervision of contractors.
  • Sound technical expertise, with hands-on ability in plumbing, carpentry, electrical works and painting, gained through previous practical experience and attendance at trade schools / technical college or university.
  • Knowledge of all laws that govern building management and maintenance, including familiarity with regulations or ordinances of BD/FSD/EMSD/EPD etc. that have an impact on building safety, emergency evacuation and environment protection etc.
  • Possession of skill in computer software like Words, Power-point, Excel and AutoCAD etc.
  • Sociable and ability to communicate effectively with clients or working counterparts.
