We are looking for appointment in the following position to further strengthen our research.
Technician (carrying the job title of ‘Software Engineer and computer Engineer’)

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, Electronics or related fields; (ii) at least 2 years’ experience as a software/computer engineer in industry, software house or research institution; (iii) experience in software application and database development; and (iv) a self-motivated, hard-working and honest attitude, and a strong sense of responsibility. Game engine development experience (Unity 3D and Unreal) is desirable. Research experience in ophthalmology or visual sciences is desirable but not mandatory. The appointee will be involved in both team and independent research. Duties include (a) designing and developing software and hardware applications for research projects in eye diseases; (b) performing data and image analysis in research projects; and (c) providing support for computer maintenance and security, and software installation. Appointment will initially be made on a 1- or 2-year contract (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract) commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
