The Insurance Authority (IA) is an insurance regulator established under the Insurance Ordinance (Cap. 41). The principal function of IA is to regulate and supervise the insurance industry for the promotion of the general stability of the insurance industry and for the protection of existing and potential policy holders.

In support of the Government’s Job Creation Scheme under the Anti-epidemic Fund, and with facilitating the sustainable market development of the insurance industry being one of our statutory functions, we are launching the Insurance Talent Development Programme to nurture talents for the insurance sector. The incumbent will undertake the following:

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide administrative support in the license application process
  • To input data into the IIS, file scanning and record management
  • Conduct first level review to ensure all necessary information and supporting documents are included in the application.
  • Prepare statistical reports, and handle general enquiries.

 

Requirements

  • (a) A recognized Diploma or

   (b) 5 passes in the HKCEE including Chinese Language, English Language (Syllabus B) and Mathematics, or
   (c) 5 subjects in HKDSE attaining the level specified below:
Level 2 in English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, and Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects / “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects / Grade E in Other Language subjects; or equivalent

  • At least 4 years’ relevant working experience
  • Proficiency in Chinese and English word processing;
  • Strong communication skill and proven work experience in customer services
  • Preferably to have sound knowledge of insurance intermediary regulations, particularly on licensing and CPD requirements

 

Appointment Terms
A competitive remuneration package commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications on a 1-year fixed-term contract will be offered.
