Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. Temporary Project Officer (One-year contract)

The Department
Our Department of Veterinary Regulation, Welfare and Biosecurity Policy is currently seeking a competent and detail-oriented individual to provide professional support in implementing our education initiatives on international short course continuing education programs (CEG) for racing veterinarians, senior racing administrators and racing industry professionals, etc. in the veterinary regulation of horseracing covering a wealth of topics primarily on welfare, horse safety, suitability to participate in racing, anti-doping, medication management, legal considerations, biosecurity and preventative medicine, and racing epidemiology.


About the Job
You will:

• render support services to the team implementing education initiatives;
• assist in designing, developing, implementing and evaluating processes and tools to make learning easier for program participants;
• create illustrations and layouts for learning materials including PowerPoints, assessments, and checklists as job aids, etc. plus assist in editing and proofreading;
• provide logistical support for the smooth conduct of briefing sessions, training courses, and network-based/ territory-wide functions relating to the CEG;
• assist in collecting feedbacks from stakeholders and in conducting data analysis for refinement to the implementation of the program


About you
You should have:

• a Bachelor degree with major in Computer Science or related field;
• at least one-year relevant work experience in training and project management;
• good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and excellent communication skills;
• experience or knowledge of administering and maintaining website;
• experience in research and development projects relating to continuing professional development (CPD) education would be an advantage;
• Fresh graduate will also be considered


Terms of Employment
This is a one-year temporary appointment with possibility for contract renewal. The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
