1. Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Big Data Analytics (Ref.: 201601515)
(to commence from July 1, 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract)

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field, with a strong record of teaching and research in the society, health and mental health using big data analytics. Preference will be given to those with expertise in advanced statistical modelling and in data sets developed locally (e.g. health or long-term care administrative data), regionally (e.g. China health and mental health) and globally from the UK, Europe or North America. The appointee will be responsible for teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and is expected to be active in research understanding the relationship between the society and health to improve public health outcomes. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointments on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary for posts (1) and (2), and 10% of basic salary for post (3).
