We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Transaction Manager, Issuer Services

In this role, you will

  • At all times work proactively with clients and peers to ensure a smooth and high standard of service delivery to our clients.
  • Responsible for the review and negotiation of documentation related to Loan Facility transactions such as Syndicated Facilities, Project and Export Finance, Islamic Financing and others
  • Liaise with arrangers and lenders, manage external counsel and discuss with internal advisory lawyers where required as well as work closely with Client Services, Business Development and Risk teams
  • Manage, together with internal and external counsel and senior business managers where appropriate, post-closing amendments and other legal documentation works
  • Review transactions to ensure compliance with HSBC group standards and perform analysis of the transaction structure as a whole from a legal and operational perspective to identify any potential issues or unusual duties or obligations
  • Responsible for the onboarding of new transactions and effecting a successful handover to client services team for post-signing administration
  • Take responsibility for the assigned workload while at the same time being able to escalate issues where appropriate  

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements

  • Experience as a transaction manager, junior lawyer, or client services manager, ideally with operational knowledge
  • Some previous credit experience and understanding of banking operations is desirable
  • Sufficient corporate trust and loan agency experience to ensure HSBC is not exposed to any legal, operational or reputational risks
  • Client focused
  • Language skills with fluency in written English and Chinese, Mandarin and Cantonese communication skills are desirable
  • Exposure to conventional debt, medium term note programs, structured finance and escrow transactions is desirable
  • Good communicator, both written and verbally
  • Able to work under pressure and manage priorities effectively
  • Strong time management and negotiation skills
  • Proactive and flexible attitude
  • Team player
