Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. Transport Officer (2-years contract)
 

The Department

The Logistics and Transport Department is looking for a committed and self-motivated individual to join its Transport Section.

 

The Job

You will:

  • Support the development of the cross border limousine service operating model for Conghua Racecourse event
  • Develop and review the Transport operation plan for Conghua Racecourse event
  • Develop operational staff on daily logistics operations and monitoring system in the aspect of people, process, system, service quality, resources optimization, cost management and related planning
  • Ensure all people management, health and safety procedures are adhered to and adopt a proactive approach to ensure a safe and productive work environment
  • Apply key performance indicators to drive and quantify cost optimization while maintaining high internal customer quality and service levels
  • Drive continuous performance improvement and deploy continuous improvement methodology in key areas of service
  • Support the establishment of the cross border coach and limousine Standard Operation Procedures and local handbook for drivers, detailing operating procedures and defining of roles and responsibilities
  • Ensure the team and the operations are complying with our Standard Operation Procedures
  • Build and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to operate the Club’s fulfilment model
  • Manage the deployment of staff resources such as planning allocation of resources, establishing performance standards, motivating staff, building team spirit, monitoring and evaluating staff performance, making recruitment decisions, initiating staff training
  • Support HK Transport & Conghua Racecourse operations

 

About You

You should have: 

  • University degree in transport logistics, hotel management or related disciplines; with at least 5 years of experience in transport/ logistics industry
  • Good stakeholder management skills and familiar with transportation for VIP customers
  • Knowledge on safety compliance requirements related to transportation
  • Experience working with MS Office applications
  • Good leadership and change management skills
  • Strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Fluent in English, Cantonese and Putonghua

 

Terms of Employment

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. An initial two-year contract employment will be offered to the successful candidate. Contract renewal will be subject to mutual agreement between the Club and the individual.
