User Experience Design is the heart of our platform team. We pride ourselves on concepting, designing and delivering innovative work that goes above and beyond our client’s expectations. As our UX champion, you are responsible for planning and delivering transformative customer experience and collaborating with strategy, data, technology and creative to create engaging new experiences and brand value. You mentor your team of UX designers to become better practitioners through career and skill development. You are also expected to be well connected in the market, and attract the best and brightest design talent within the region.

The clients you'll be partnering with ranges across financial services, travel & hospitality, property management and more. You'll be using your design and problem solving skills to help clients identify what value they bring to their customers and then deliver on that value. Your relentless spirit in cross-connecting parallel disciplines and ideas will help build and shape one of the best user experience team in the industry.

 

What you’ll be doing

¨ Lead ideation and concept explorations in key client projects throughout any project lifecycle, facilitating and driving creative solutions, discussions and strategic planning.

¨ Help introduce new angles and ideas to project teams and the client, leveraging learning and ideas from previous projects and pitches into new scenarios.

¨ Deliver insights about people and behavior, verbally and visually, in a way that generates empathy, emotion, and engagement from the client and design team.

¨ Ensure solutions are scalable and applicable to client’s context; and that knowledge and best practices are shared across projects and teams.

¨ Ensuring the UX team approach the design challenge methodically and productively to achieve a desirable solution: audits, journey maps, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, documentation, user testing, etc.

¨ Provide oversight to track, manage and communicate project milestones, deliverables and risks with the project team, and being hands-on when needed.

¨ Provide mentorship and coaching of UX designers.

¨ Collaborate with other function leads to strengthen Digitas’s presence and business in this market

¨ Work closely with resource and program management to plan & deliver the right scope of work to clients

¨ Creating a productive design culture in the office, by leading by example and through proven, consistent management practices

¨ Evolving and guiding usage of the best design tools and processes

 

What you’ll bring

¨ Impressive portfolio demonstrating your brilliant thinking and creativity on digital platforms; and experience balancing user needs, business interest and technology constraints.

¨ Strategic perspectives across different project types including identifying gaps, opportunities and risks through project planning and delivery.

¨ Articulated in presenting and facilitating design discussions and workshops with clients and stakeholders, through best tools and methods to convey ideas and concepts.

¨ Ability to work from a blank-slate and hands-on experience in driving pitches to success.

¨ In-depth knowledge across UX design skills and design tools to improve project success and efficiencies, while serving to inspire and grow the team.

¨ Strong knowledge in designing platform: modular architecture design and grid systems for responsive web, data analytics and visual design.

¨ Action-oriented team management; ability to juggle and prioritise different project streams and rolling up your sleeves to get the work done.

¨ Experience in working agile driven projects is a plus.

¨ At least 7 years + commercial experience in UX design and managing projects or similar role

¨ Fluent in English and Cantonese/Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
