Description

  • Review business processes/operations and implement control improvements for cash equities, fixed incomes and investment banking businesses.

  • P&L production and controls for cash equities and fixed income businesses.

  • Refined and enhanced the controls and operational environment for the trade processing of equity derivative business.

  • Implement controls to prevent the trade processing/operational flaws. Defined targets and escalation standard/method for key risks

  • Extensive experience in process improvement analysis and business process re-engineering.

  • Managing the BAU, coaching & building risk based control approach for P&L compilation, analysis and commentary.

  • Liaise and communicate with other internal departments where appropriate, in particular Front office and settlements, regulatory reporting, corporate and management reporting.

  • Reconciliation of daily cash movements and funding requirements.

  • Month-end activities including: posting month end journals, review of intercompany balances, transfer pricing, reconciliation of the balance sheet & Analysis.

  • Driving the strategic initiatives and providing tactical solutions in areas like P&L standardization, Management Reporting, Front to back reconciliations, market data sourcing and sanity checks.

Profile

  • Degree level education or equivalent
  • At least ten years work of relevant experience in Product Control and Project
  • Experience in delivering major regulatory programs in the Financial Services industry is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders at different levels
  • A self-starter and creative thinker with the ability to work on their own initiative
  • Good data analysis skills with the ability of working with large volume of data
  • Comfortable dealing with incomplete information, uncertainty, change and dealing with ambiguities
  • An eye for detail and accuracy with a strong analytical capability with good Excel and Powerpoint skills.
