COMMUNICATION AND PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICE

Writer (Half-time) (PR0434/20-21)

The Communication and Public Relations Office is responsible for raising the profile of the University and enhancing understanding of its development and achievements among its stakeholders and the general public. The Office is now seeking a suitably qualified individual to join its Communication Services and Publications team. As a half-time writer, he/she is required to work 20 hours per week.

The appointee is expected to:

  • provide professional writing service covering letters, messages and speeches;
  • provide editing, proofreading and translation service to the Office for all its print and online communication; and
  • provide ad-hoc support.

 

Requirements:

  • a bachelor’s degree in Communication, English or related disciplines;
  • excellent writing and editing skills in English;
  • at least eight years of solid experience in communication services;
  • experience in preparing speeches and letters for senior management will be an advantage; and
  • self-motivated, detail-oriented and a good team player with a strong sense of responsibility.


Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.

The appointee will be offered a fixed-term half-time contract (20 working hours per week) for 1 year commencing as soon as possible. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Reference salary range: HK$16,452 - HK$26,300

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
