Fairchild Canadian Academy is a new organization that aspires to establish a through-train education system from playgroups to a full International School in Hong Kong. Our first state-of-the-art playgroup, Fairchild Junior Academy (FJA), will open in January 2016 at a newly renovated space in Tin Hau.
As a new early childhood education centre, with potential to grow into a world-class group of schools, we invite you to consider working with us. Our goal is to enhance the lives of young people by providing quality, inquiry based programs delivered by outstanding teachers. We put students first in every decision we make and endeavour to create a culture of caring and respect where students and staff love to learn together. FJA will provide classes for children between the ages of six months and four years. Classes will be taught by trained and qualified early childhood teachers and teacher associates. The team will be led by our Director of Learning and our Head of School, who both have in-depth experience in leading renowned International schools and kindergartens in Hong Kong and Canada. Teaching and Learning will follow the British Columbia (BC) Early Learning Framework (link) and the Ontario Early Learning for Every Child Today Framework (link) and teachers will base their methods on the Reggio Emilia inspired approach to toddler and infant learning.
