Admissions Officer / Assistant Admissions Officer (Local Team) (Ref. 260910007-IE)
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) support local undergraduate admissions and recruitment activities (including school talks, admissions fairs, campus visits and other promotional initiatives) in alignment with the University’s admissions strategies;
(b) assist in day-to-day operations and administrative tasks related to local undergraduate admissions and recruitment;
(c) provide on-site support during school visits to answer admissions queries from prospective students and parents;
(d) handle enquiries from prospective students and stakeholders to optimise the admissions experience;
(e) assist in the preparation of admissions statistics and recruitment analytics for management review; and
(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his/her delegates.
The appointee may be required to work outside normal office hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays for duty-related events/activities.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree or an equivalent qualification plus at least three years of relevant work experience, preferably gained in tertiary education institutions or sizable organisations;
(b) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;
(c) proficiency in computer applications and IT skills;
(d) good teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills; and
(e) good problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and readiness for embracing changes.
Applicants with less experience may be considered for the post of Assistant Admissions Officer. Preference will be given to those with experience in student admissions and recruitment.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
