Appointment of Vice-President (Research) [Ref. R/283/26]

The Position

Reporting to the President, the Vice-President (Research) is a key member of the University, playing a critical role in the development and management of the University’s research enterprise. The appointee will be responsible for the strategic planning and development of all research-related matters, and will work closely with the President, Deputy President & Provost, Deans, and Heads to ambitiously expand the University’s research portfolio and enhance its global standing.

The Person

The appointee should have a distinguished record of research, teaching, and scholarship; substantial relevant experience in academic leadership; the vision and capability to build on and expand the University’s research strengths; outstanding management effectiveness; and a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork. A doctoral degree with strong academic and professional qualifications is required.

Salary and Conditions of Service

The appointee will be offered appointment to an academic rank commensurate with qualifications and experience. The appointment will be on a concurrent basis for an initial period of about three years. An attractive remuneration package, driven by market competitiveness and individual performance, will be offered.
