ASSISTANT FASHION DESIGNER – swimwear brand owner and manufacturer (Lai Chi Kok/5 days work)

• We are looking for an Assistant Fashion Designer – Swimwear to join our Design Team and support the development of our own swimwear brands and customer collections.

ROLE MISSION

• You will support the design team in developing creative and commercially successful swimwear collections for the Company’s own swimwear brands and international customers.You will assist in turning design concepts into product designs, preparing design documents, and supporting the development process from concept to final sample.

ROLE SUMMARY

• You will report to the Fashion Design Manager and work within a Design Team of five members.

• You will assist Senior Fashion Designers in creating seasonal swimwear collections, preparing sketches and tech packs, and coordinating with merchandising, sourcing, pattern making, and sampling teams.

• You will also support fittings, sample development, and design presentations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Report to the Fashion Design Manager and work closely with a Design Team of five members.

• Assist in developing seasonal swimwear collections for the Company’s own swimwear brands and international customers.

• Research global fashion trends, fabrics, prints, colours, and swimwear styles.

• Create design sketches, mood boards, and product concepts.

• Prepare technical drawings and production-ready tech packs.

• Assist in selecting fabrics, trims, prints, and colour palettes.

• Coordinate with pattern makers and sampling teams to develop prototypes and samples.

• Attend fittings and support design revisions to improve fit, construction, and quality.

• Support design presentations to international customers and incorporate feedback.

• Work closely with merchandising, sourcing, and production teams to ensure timely collection delivery.

• Contribute creative ideas to strengthen the Company’s swimwear brands and design capabilities.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Tertiary education in Fashion Design or a related discipline.

• At least 1–3 years of relevant fashion design experience.

• Swimwear, lingerie, activewear, or close-to-body garment design experience is preferred.

• Basic understanding of garment fit, fabrics, trims, and construction.

• Good knowledge of global fashion trends and commercial design.

• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

• Experience with 3D design tools, such as CLO, is a plus.

• Experience with AI-supported design workflows is a plus.

• Fluent in English.

• Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage.
