ASSISTANT SALES MANAGER – European MNC Freight Forwarder (Kowloon Bay/5 days work)

ROLE MISSION

• Manage and grow a portfolio of existing air and sea freight customers while actively developing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth for the Hong Kong office.

ROLE SUMMARY

• Individual contributor role reporting to the Sales Director

• Part of a 6-member sales team with a strong focus on teamwork and shared targets

• Requires a proactive, result-oriented mindset to jointly drive business development

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Provide professional sales and account management services to existing air and sea freight clients

• Identify, approach, and secure new potential customers to expand the company’s client base

• Work closely with the team to plan and execute business development strategies and campaigns

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, understand client needs, and propose suitable freight and logistics solutions

• Prepare quotations, proposals, and presentations; follow up on tenders and rate negotiations

• Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure service quality and customer satisfaction

• Monitor market trends and competitor activities; share insights with management to support sales planning

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Minimum 3 years’ sales experience in freight forwarding or logistics companies (air and/or sea freight)

• Existing base of potential clients is a strong advantage

• Strong selling, negotiation, and customer-handling skills with a proactive, result-oriented attitude

• Good team player, able to work closely with colleagues to achieve shared targets

• Good communication and presentation skills in English and Chinese
