ASST PACKAGING MANAGER - European Fashion Accessories / Fashion Jewellery / Lifestyle Watch Group (Kwai Fong)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Report to the Managing Director of the Hong Kong office.

• Lead and manage a packaging team of two subordinates.

• Manage the development and production of both product packaging and POS packaging.

• Monitor the merchandising team in sample development, order follow-up, product quality and delivery.

• Identify and source new suppliers, assess their capabilities and monitor their performance.

• Manage supplier communication, negotiate prices and ensure compliance with quality and testing requirements.

• Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and review their performance regularly.

• Manage order allocation and ensure timely delivery of packaging materials.

• Work closely with the European headquarters to develop effective sourcing and packaging strategies.

• Manage special projects while handling daily sourcing and packaging responsibilities.

IDEAL CANDIDATES

• Diploma or above.

• Minimum 5 years of solid experience in buying, sourcing or packaging development.

• Strong knowledge of packaging production, materials, construction and quality requirements.

• Experience in packaging for fashion jewellery, fashion watches, fashion accessories or the fashion industry is highly preferred.

• Experience in showcases, display towers, gift packaging and premium packaging is an advantage.

• Excellent negotiation, analytical, communication and project-management skills.

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

• Proficiency in written and spoken Cantonese, Mandarin and English.

• Knowledge of the SAP system is an advantage.

• Willing to travel to Mainland China on a weekly basis.

• Sourcing experience in South Asia is an advantage.
