ASST SALES MANAGER - European Fashion Trims, Buttons, Packaging & garment Accessories manufacturer (Kwai Fong)

ROLE MISSION :

• Develop new business and grow sales in Mainland China and other Asian markets.

• Build relationships with the China-based buying and sourcing offices of international brands.

• Promote fashion trims, buttons, packaging products and custom-designed accessories.

• Understand customer needs, product requirements and market trends.

• Develop effective sales and marketing strategies.

• Work with internal and overseas teams to achieve sales and business targets.

• Contribute to the company’s long-term growth and profitability.

• This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.

ROLE SUMMARY :

• Report to the Head of Sales & Marketing.

• Develop sales and marketing plans for Mainland China and other Asian markets.

• Target the buying and sourcing offices of international apparel, fashion and home textile brands in China and SE Asia.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and decision-makers.

• Develop new accounts and manage existing customers.

• Promote the company’s range of fashion trims, buttons, packaging products and custom-designed accessories.

• Work independently to achieve sales and business development targets.

JOB DESCRIPTION :

• Meet decision-makers at the buying and sourcing offices of international brands in Hong Kong, Shanghai and other major fashion and retail centres in Mainland China.

• Identify and develop new business opportunities with international brands that have buying or sourcing operations in China.

• Build long-term relationships with existing and potential customers.

• Introduce the company’s fashion trims, buttons, packaging products and custom-designed accessories for apparel and home textile applications.

• Understand customer requirements, buying behaviour, product specifications and market trends.

• Follow up on customer enquiries, product development, quotations, orders and business opportunities.

• Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to achieve company objectives.

• Work closely with sales teams and team leaders in North America and Europe.

• Coordinate sales activities with the company’s offices in Southeast Asia.

• Work with production and internal teams to ensure that customer requirements are handled properly and on time.

• Monitor market trends, customer behaviour and competitor activities in Mainland China and other international markets.

• Prepare regular sales reports, market updates and business recommendations for senior management.

• Suggest practical ideas to support business growth and improve profitability.

• Represent the company professionally when meeting customers and business partners.

• Travel within Mainland China and other Asian markets when required.

IDEAL CANDIDATE :

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business Administration, Marketing or a related discipline.

• 3–5 years of relevant sales or business development experience in fashion trims, buttons, garment accessories, packaging, custom-designed accessories, apparel, home textiles or related industries.

• Existing contacts with China-based buying offices or sourcing offices of international brands are highly preferred.

• Proven ability to identify new business opportunities and develop long-term customer relationships.

• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.

• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with international teams.

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

• Good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin.

• Willing to travel within Mainland China and other Asian markets when required.
