BUSINESS ANALYST – Global Trading & Sourcing Office (Kwun Tong)

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Conduct research on prospective clients, target markets, and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities, market gaps, and strategic fit.

• Perform data-driven analysis to identify and support business growth.

• Support the development of prospect strategies, client pipelines, and long-term growth plans, including 3-year plans and key objectives.

• Prepare data-driven presentations and business proposals.

• Assist in preparing client presentations, outreach materials, and commercial documents.

• Conduct market and competitive analysis to support sourcing expansion opportunities across regions and product categories.

• Identify and evaluate networking events, trade shows, and marketing channels as potential avenues for new client acquisition.

• Assist in preparing cost exercises, pricing models, and initial bids, and support the development of business cases and commercial proposals prior to contract execution.

• Drive client onboarding and ensure a smooth handover to internal stakeholders and departments, with clear alignment on scope, timelines, and deliverables.

• Liaise with cross-functional teams across different regions to align deliverables, monitor timelines, and ensure execution stays on track.

• Assist in building and documenting SOPs, identifying process gaps, and improving operational efficiency.

• Support the preparation and coordination of contracts and key business documents.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

• 2–5 years of experience in business analysis, consulting, or business development support.

• Strong strategic mindset and business sense, with good market insight.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into practical insights.

• Prior exposure to competitor analysis, market analysis, or product analysis would be an advantage.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.

• Commercially aware and comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

• Fluent English is a must.

• Experience in global trading or sourcing offices is an advantage.
