CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Founded in 1996, the Senior Citizen Home Safety Association (“SCHSA”) is a self-financed Section 88 charitable non-profit and one of Hong Kong’s leading social enterprises. Through technology-enabled, people-centred services, including its 24/7 Care-on-Call Service and EasyHome Services, SCHSA helps senior citizens age in place with dignity and quality of life.

As SCHSA enters its next chapter after 30 years, it seeks a Chief Executive Officer to build on its strong foundation in governance, services and organisational capability, and further strengthen its impact amid Hong Kong’s rapidly ageing population.

The Role

Reporting to the Board, the CEO will lead SCHSA to:

• Shape and execute long-term strategy in consultation with the Board;

• Demonstrate strong leadership and commercial effectiveness in strengthening SCHSA’s service excellence and product innovations;

• Leverage technology and innovation in enhancing efficiency internally and expanding impact externally;

• Broaden services and community reach through robust marketing initiatives and strong representation with key stakeholders;

• Attract, inspire and develop a strong and committed management team;

• Build strong cross-sector relationships and act as an effective bridge between the Board and management;

• Keep abreast of cross-border developments and respond when appropriate opportunities arise; and

• Uphold SCHSA’s reputation for transparency, honesty and integrity.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Genuine passion for serving senior citizens and SCHSA’s mission;

• Substantial general management and senior leadership experience;

• Immense commercial agility and proven ability to lead teams and deliver results;

• The discipline to balance social purpose, operations and finance;

• A progressive, technology-minded approach to extending impact;

• Strong people leadership, communication and stakeholder skills;

• Empathy, sound judgement and high integrity;

• Long-term commitment and interest in suitable Mainland China initiatives; and

• Excellent Cantonese and English. Good command of Putonghua is preferable.
