System Specialist / Technical Specialist (IT Infrastructure, over $40K)

Key Responsibilities

• Project Implementation: Support the project delivery with hardware & software installation and performance tuning for operation system , virtualization software, monitoring software, and backup utilities.

• Documentation Support: Prepare, update, and maintain technical documents, project inventory, operational manuals, and configuration checklists.

• Daily Operations: Support delivery teams with routine infrastructure monitoring, daily health checks, vendor management, and basic log gathering for troubleshooting.

• Cross-Team Collaboration: Handle flexible ad-hoc infrastructure tasks assigned by both the Database / Middleware and Platform teams.

• Mobility: Willingness to travel to various client sites and data centers across Hong Kong. 

• Shift Flexibility: Ability to support occasional non-office hour operations (e.g., scheduled deployment or maintenance windows).

Requirements & Qualifications

• 5+ years working experience on IT infrastructure with HCI implementation experience

• 2+ year experience of hands-on experience building, scaling, and maintaining production-grade Storage Spaces Direct or Azure Stack HCI environments.

• Hands-on experience on hands-on design, provisioning, and configuration of Microsoft Hyper-V Cluster (including fundamental understanding of Windows Failover Clustering, Cluster Quorum witness strategies, and enterprise Hyper-V virtualization)

• Solid experience on Enterprise-level Microsoft Windows Servers implementation, support, and implementation

• Experience on Windows Server 2025's specific storage enhancements (e.g., thin provisioning, improved data deduplication/compression, or Storage Replica improvements) are preferred.

• Experience on configuring and troubleshooting RDMA-enabled network adapters and the underlying switch fabric (PFC, ETS, and DCB settings) is preferred.

• Microsoft certifications focused on Hybrid Cloud, Windows Server, or Azure Stack HCI are preferred.

• Knowledge and Experience on Linux / SAN are advantage

• Education: Higher Diploma from VTC in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cloud Computing, System Administration, or a related discipline.

• Language Skills: Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).
