AI Specialist / AI Engineer (GenAI, $40K - $60K)

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with B/Ds to understand daily operational workflows, bottlenecks, and pain points, translating business requirements into scalable GenAI, workflow automation, or other AI use cases.

• Guide B/Ds through the transition from traditional workflows to AI-enabled concepts, managing local resistance and aligning stakeholders with executive showcase narratives.

• Build GenAI workflows, agentic loops, knowledge assistants, chatbots, and internal dashboards using tools such as Work Buddy, Open WebUI, Dify, n8n, RAGFlow, and Model-as-a-Service (MaaS) platforms backed by advanced open-source models (e.g., DeepSeek, Qwen).

• Design and refine prompts, few-shot examples, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions to maximise accuracy and minimise hallucinations.

• Integrate data pipelines with the Government’s central AI infrastructure and APIs.

• Prepare documentation including user guides, prompt templates, reusable workflows, and conduct briefings/trainings for change management and knowledge transfer.

• Pivot prototypes quickly based on live feedback from B/Ds and stakeholders.
  

Job Requirements:

• Higher Diploma or above

• 3 - 6 years’ post-qualification experience in system implementation, application development, workflow automation, digital transformation, technical consulting, or system administration, with at least 1 year in a similar post.

• Sound understanding of GenAI, large language models (LLMs), APIs, and prompt engineering.

• Experience in configuring, implementing, or supporting IT systems or digital tools.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal abilities.

• Proactive attitude, strong learning ability, and keen interest in emerging GenAI technologies.

• Ability to work closely with non-technical users and deliver practical solutions within short timeframes.

• Strong dedication to execution and delivery. 

• Preferred Experience (Advantages)

1. AI tools: Open WebUI, Dify, n8n, RAGFlow, Work Buddy.

2. LLMs: DeepSeek, Qwen, or other large language models.

3. RAG and databases: Retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, or knowledge management.

4. Tech stack: APIs, databases, Linux, Docker, or cloud platforms.

5. Programming: Python, JavaScript, SQL, or other programming languages

6. Automation: AI agents, browser automation, or desktop automation.

7. Governance: Information security, data governance, or responsible AI.

8. Projects: Digital transformation projects in Government or large organisations.
