Linux Infrastructure Engineer / Specialist (Tseung Kwan O, over $50K)

Key responsibilities:

• Provide technical advice and support for the implementation and enhancement of system infrastructure for mission-critical applications

• Support hardware refresh initiatives, capacity planning, and resource optimisation activities

• Review system architecture and infrastructure design to ensure availability, scalability, and security requirements are met

• Supervise and provide technical guidance during System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

• Ensure testing activities are carried out in accordance with project requirements and operational standards

• Diagnose and resolve infrastructure and system-related issues in collaboration with contractors and vendors

• Monitor remediation actions and ensure timely issue resolution

• Perform root cause analysis and recommend preventive measures

• Review project deliverables and technical documentation

• Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with service and project requirements

Requirement:

• Higher Diploma in Networking / Information Technology or related subjects

• At least 4 years experience in IT industry

• Proven hands-on experience in the implementation, administration, and maintenance of Linux server environments

• Proven hands-on experience in the implementation, administration, and maintenance of virtualisation platforms supporting mission-critical systems

• Strong experience in Linux system administration, including operating system configuration

• Strong experience in system resource monitoring, performance tuning, security patch management and operating system hardening

• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Experience supporting high-availability and critical production environments
