Infrastructure Specialist (Cloud, Kwun Tong, 5 days work, over $50K)

Job Duties:

• Design enterprise-grade OpenShift/Kubernetes platforms for critical banking workloads.

• Architect high-availability and disaster recovery solutions across dual data centers (Active-Active / Active-Standby).

• Develop architectures for microservices ecosystems, including API gateways, service discovery, messaging platforms, and distributed caching.

• Define database and storage resilience strategies, including Oracle integration, data replication, and container persistence.

• Lead infrastructure automation, multi-cluster management, and disaster recovery orchestration.

• Design network traffic routing, GSLB, and split-brain prevention mechanisms across multiple data centers.

• Support and advise on mainframe modernization initiatives, migrating workloads from IBM z/OS and other legacy environments to cloud-native platforms.
  

Job Requirement:

• F.5 or above

• At least 10 years of extensive experience in enterprise IT infrastructure architecture, systems engineering, and cloud-native transformations.

• At least 3–5 years of consulting or architecture experience within Tier-1/Tier-2 Banks, specifically dealing with mission-critical systems, core banking replacements, or legacy system modernization.

• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes/OpenShift architecture, container networking, cluster sizing, and deployment models.

• Strong experience with high-availability databases such as Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and enterprise storage solutions.

• Expertise in designing both stateless microservices and stateful systems with strong transactional integrity.

• Strong understanding of distributed systems, quorum mechanisms, consensus algorithms, and split-brain prevention.

• Experience with dual-data-center networking, low-latency connectivity, GSLB, and security platforms (WAF/NGFW).
