Senior AI Engineer / Full Stack Developer (Linux, Web)

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, design, implement, and support Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI solutions and initiatives.

• Conduct technical evaluations, proof-of-concept (PoC) studies, and feasibility assessments of AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), AI platforms, hardware accelerators, and open-source AI solutions.

• Deploy, configure, integrate, test, and troubleshoot AI models, applications, and supporting platforms across on-premises, virtualised, cloud, and containerised environments.

• Evaluate, optimise, and maintain AI models and LLM services, including model selection, inference deployment, performance tuning, quantisation, and API integration.

• Design and implement AI solution architectures, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, knowledge management systems, model-serving platforms, guardrails, and enterprise integrations.

• Assess AI infrastructure requirements covering compute, GPU/NPU resources, memory, storage, networking, scalability, and performance optimisation.

• Perform AI benchmarking, testing, and performance evaluations to assess model quality, accuracy, latency, throughput, concurrency, and production readiness.

• Support prompt engineering, data preparation, model evaluation, retrieval optimisation, and knowledge management processes.

• Work closely with users, project teams, contractors, vendors, and service providers throughout project implementation and support.

• Monitor project progress, deliverables, service quality, security requirements, and contractual compliance.

• Support AI security, governance, and risk management activities, including model security, prompt injection protection, data privacy, AI output validation, and software supply chain security.

• Prepare technical documentation, architecture designs, specifications, testing reports, operational procedures, and project deliverables.

• Support procurement activities through the preparation of technical specifications, tender documents, and technical evaluations.

• Provide operational support and troubleshooting for AI infrastructure, applications, and related platforms.

• Keep abreast of emerging AI technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 4 years' post-qualification IT experience, including at least 2 years of hands-on experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Generative AI, or related fields.

• Proven experience in deploying, configuring, integrating, or supporting AI and Large Language Model (LLM) solutions.

• Solid understanding of LLM technologies, including inference serving, prompt engineering, tokenisation, context management, model optimisation, and performance tuning.

• Knowledge of AI infrastructure, including CPU, GPU, NPU, storage, networking, and high-performance computing environments.

• Hands-on experience with Linux administration, scripting, and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Proficiency in Python and experience developing or integrating applications through APIs and AI frameworks.

• Familiarity with open-source AI ecosystems, including LLM frameworks, model repositories, inference engines, vector databases, and related tools.

• Experience evaluating AI solutions for functionality, scalability, security, performance, and production deployment.

• Experience preparing technical documentation, architecture designs, solution proposals, evaluation reports, and technical specifications.

• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience coordinating users, technical teams, contractors, and vendors.

• Knowledge of AI governance, cybersecurity, data protection, and responsible AI practices is an advantage.

• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
