Project Manager (Systems Infrastructure, IT Security)

Key responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate and manage the implementation of the Immigration Control System (ICONS) at the New Huanggang Control Point.

• Provide management support and technical advice for the planning and implementation of new automated clearance initiatives.

• Lead and manage projects relating to emerging immigration clearance technologies and operational models.

• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of ICONS infrastructure and related system components.

• Conduct quality assurance activities and monitor contractor performance to ensure service quality and project deliverables are achieved.

• Manage project schedules, risks, resources and stakeholder communications.

• Ensure compliance with IT security standards, policies and operational requirements.

• Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental strategies and business objectives.
  

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.

• At least 8-10 years working experience in IT and at least 2 years in Project Manager / Leading role

• Proven experience in the implementation, operation and support of mission-critical IT systems.

• Strong experience in managing large-scale IT projects throughout the full project lifecycle.

• Demonstrated experience in managing outsourced service providers and contractors.

• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, system operations and IT security principles.

• Hands-on experience with DB2 infrastructure administration and support.

• Excellent project management, problem-solving and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure in a mission-critical environment.
